Dr. Chad Meister

Dr. Chad Meister is Professor of Philosophy at Bethel College, Indiana where he has been teaching for the past decade. Chad received his Ph.D. in philosophy from Marquette University and an M.A. in Christian Thought/Philosophy of Religion from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. His current research interests are in the philosophy of religion, including religious diversity, natural theology, and philosophical theology. He speaks nationally on topics in religion and the Christian faith and has written or edited a number of books and articles’, including Building Belief and God is Great, God is Good (Christianity Today 2010 Book of the Year).

Prior to joining Bethel's faculty, Dr. Meister taught Philosophy at Marquette University as a Teaching Fellow and at Trinity International University. Before changing careers to study Philosophy, he worked as a development engineer in robotics for Cincinnati Milacron and as a field engineer for Hewlett Packard.

He is married to Tammi and they have two sons, Justin and Joshua. Besides reading, reflecting and enjoying late-night conversation around his chimenea, he enjoys taking long walks with his wife and biking with his two sons.
